Image Posted on Updated on

Static Source

You should use static sources when you want to include all the items or files that stored under a specific node or folder in the content tree or if you only want to include a specific items or files.

Dynamic Source

When the items or files that you want to include cannot be easily selected, for example, if you want to include everything created after a certain date.

You can refer to Sitecore Package Designer guide for more information and tricks: http://sdn.sitecore.net/upload/sitecore6/65/package_designer_admin_guide-a4.pdf

Validation Rule

If you want a custom length for Min and Max Length of the field. Just create an additional rule on the System -> Settings -> Validation Rules -> Field Rules -> Sample. You can find the template for creating additional validation on: /sitecore/templates/System/Validation/Validation Rule

Hidden items don’t appear on Content Editor specially if they don’t have access to view hidden items.  If you have permissions to display hidden items just follow the steps below:

Showing Hidden items

1. Open the Content Editor

2. On the Ribbon, Click View Tab

3. In the View group, add check mark on the Hidden Items checkbox
